It's located on El Neel Avenue in Khartoum, the museum contains works from different epochs of Sudanese history.
Among the exhibits are two Egyptian temples of Buhen and Semna which were originally built by Queen Hatshepsut and Pharaoh Tuthmosis III respectively but relocated to Khartoum upon the flooding of Lake Nasser. It was founded in 1971.
